Spring Cleaning
(Pressure washing a house)
We went to pressure wash a house
The soap and water we did douse
Take heed to the course the wind blows
The job has highs and also lows.
Hubby playfully soaked my blouse
We went to pressure wash a house
Being respectful to the plants
Careful not to step in fire ants
Don’t drag the hose through doggy poop
Make sure it doesn’t twist and loop
We went to pressure wash a house
We clean out every grub and louse.
Foreign things come out of the wall
String cobwebs fall and lizards crawl
Out of the eves there comes a mouse
We went to pressure wash a house.
We went to pressure wash your home
The soap bubbled up just like foam
House is green from years of mildew
Spider webs stuck like super glue.
We won’t omit that tip-top dome
We went to pressure wash your home
Let the cleaner soak in and set
Be careful now you might get wet.
Country porches and rocking chairs
Cleaning the dirt of old brick stairs
We went to pressure wash your home
Washed off that little garden gnome
Mud dirt daubers and hornet nests
Say good-bye unwanted house guests
Over the fence the hose did roam
We went to pressure wash your home.
We’ll be back the next time you call
As long as you stay on the ball
Don’t wait too long; nearly two years
Cleaning becomes tough; sweat and tears.
We work in spring, summer and fall
We’ll be back the next time you call
It’s about the man with the wand
Married to him so I’m quite fond
Our days together are well spent
This job that we do pays the rent
We’ll be back the next time you call
If you remember not to stall
The time has come, don’t shed a tear
Our job is done, it’s time for beer
Behind our promise we’ll stand tall
We’ll be back the next time you call.
